Navarre is a region in northern Spain, bordering the north of France , the Basque Country , west , south of La Rioja, and Aragon in the east. The Ebro valley is fertile and rich in nutrients, which makes it sensitive to wheat , vegetables , wine and olive oil. The river eventually led to the Natural Park of the Ebro Delta , south of Catalonia on the Costa Blanca and offers some of the best carp and cat fishing to be found in Europe.

The most famous event of the festival is "closing" or containment . Thousands of participants take your life in your hands by running front to back or side preferably 12 or more mature bulls with sharp horns along a half mile stretch of cobblestone streets of Old Town . The event is not without risks and , since 1924 , 15 people died . During the festival , the whole city is full of festive events , with celebrations spilling bars and restaurants throughout the day.
Southern Navarra is generally warm and dry, with a typical landscape of Castilla y Leon . North to the Pyrenees , where the climate is cooler with more precipitation . This resulted in a green landscape with large forests and scrub that support a diverse variety of fauna and flora . For walking or hiking , there are two national parks found here , the Natural Park Urbasa and the Natural Park of the Lordship of Bértiz .
