When I think of Austria, the first thing that comes to mind is the Alps. Maybe almost everyone knows that Austria is one of the best places to visit during the winter. It has countless winter resorts with incredible scenery , great skiing for all ages and difficulties and many other sports facilities if you are not into skiing . For tired or simply for those who want to relax and have fun skiing , there are many suitable places to do - that large pools spas and restaurants with cuisine from around the world.
But if you think that Austria is just for winter ... think again!
If you prefer to take special leave for skiing, you can do it even in the summer, with the help of beautiful Austrian glaciers. One of the most famous glaciers is the Stubai Valley - the Stubai Glacier . It is also visible from the road and perhaps a spectacular view, even for non - skiers. Other great places to ski in the summer are the Kaprun Glacier and Glacier Pasterze , which unfortunately is declining in recent years. And if you are interested in larger than the largest glacier in Austria for us things - the Hintertux glacier.
In Austria , there are hiking trails , revealing much of the beauties of the country. A nice place is Zell am See with its range " Hohe Tauern " mountain lake Zeller owned trails , suitable for beginners and experts. Also available are cycling, sailing and more. I will not give other examples of hiking trails , as they are numerous in almost all stations in Austria and that will definitely bring the amazing natural environment .
If you are a lover of nature, I can only recommend here a small part of the many nature reserves in Austria. One of them is located north of the city of Innsbruck - Karwendel Nature Reserve . The mountain is part of the Karwendel Alps and can reveal many types of scenery breathtaking. Another is Pürgschachener Moor Nature Reserve in Styria , near Irdning / Ennstal and offers a wonderful time in the fresh air. You can also visit the Nock Mountains National Park - one of the oldest mountain regions of Austria.
No matter where you are, keep in mind when planning your vacation that nature is always perfect in any season . And I can assure you that one of the best places to go and see is Austria. If you like skiing , hiking, watching from the top of a mountain or just relaxing in the sun on the shore of a lake - it's all there for you.
